Hong-Hu Zhu is a professor of engineering geology and geotechnics and the dean of the Institute of Earth Exploration and Sensing at Nanjing University, China. He holds a Ph.D. degree from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He was awarded the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars for his achievements in smart geohazard monitoring and assessment with a particular focus on geo-interface behaviors. In the past decade, he has co-authored 2 books, 21 patents, and over 90 journal papers.
